During the weekend trip we enjoyed beautiful nature of Lednice - Valtice complex, we visited the castle with georgeous winter garden, we went on boat on Dyje river channel until a Minaret and Jan castle. Beeing in Southern Moravia we could not but go to a wine cellar for wine degustation. During the evening we discussed also the preparations of the anniversary of our club foundation.
We were only eight, but sights, nature, weather and also the pension - all were great !

20th anniversary of SI Prague club

October 2015

3rd of October 2015 our club celebrated 20 years of our activity. We were very pleased that sisters of 20 soroptimist clubs from 10 countries took part in our celebration. 95 persons gathered in a nice hotel Savoy to have a gala dinner. We thank all for their presence, for the gifts and also for creating beautiful ceremonial atmosphere.

We believe that our guests also enjoyed the programme prepared by us  – a chance to go to a ceremonial concert of Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Rudolfinum, walking in Old Prague or visit the National Gallery with our escort.

Advent time for us means not only our mutual gathering - this year it was in a nice restaurant Cerny orel (Black Eagle) - but first of all it was a chance to make a joy to others. In our case it was a traditional preparation of gifts for recent residents of the asylum house ACORUS, especially for 12 children of different age and, of course, we did not forget their mothers either. We passed all gifts before Christmas eve and believe that joy from gifts will survive the longer time.
